18 Weeks… oh baby

Woahhh belly!! I’ve officially been asked by strangers when I’m due and what I’m having.. guess that bump has finally made its lasting appearance.  I can’t believe how much I’ve grown in the last 2 weeks.  May have something to do with 24hr self-serve cruise ice cream but it was soo good 🙂

Our little man is growing right along with me and this week marks a huge first.  I can finally feel him moving and kicking and I absolutely love it.  I am constantly holding my belly and telling my coworkers that the little guy is going crazy in there!!! and Bryan’s hand gets grabbed and placed on my belly all the time, in the car, having dinner, or walking out in public.  It took a few times because he seems to stop when I draw attention to his movement but Bryan was able to feel him move too! He is most active about 2-4pm but as each day passes I feel him more and more throughout the day!

After the “are you pregnant” or “when are you due” the next questions are “what are you having” and “what is his name”??  Well… we don’t have a name yet.  I know many people don’t at this stage but I’m ready to have it settled.  We have a running list but just haven’t totally agreed.  I openly admit to being a little monogram crazed so I’m ready to have some initials!!!!! hopefully soon but for now he’s just little man 🙂

At our last appointment which is when we found out he was a boy, I was told I’m at 9lbs gained which is right on track and still projected for an August 18th due date.  We could see his hands and even count his little toes.  I’m totally in love and Bryan had so much fun with the ultrasound.  It truly is amazing how fast babies develop and how clear technology makes it to see them this clear this early along!  We go back for the Anomaly or 20 week anatomy scan next week and I can’t wait to see him again.

Anniversary/Baby Moon Bahamas Vacation

Hellooo gorgeous… gorgeous blue water that is!!!  This past weekend we got to take what I’m calling our Anniversary/Baby moon Vacation to Nassau and Coco Cay, Bahamas.  The end of last year my office had a challenge going on that we were able to meet and the reward was a 3 night all expense paid cruise!  We chose the March dates because by April I will be 24 weeks which is the Royal Caribbean regulation for traveling while pregnant and this weekend worked out perfect as an Anniversary trip!!!

We had a great time and even better weather.  I finally was able to lay in the sun and got to do so for 2 whole days!! We threw in some snorkeling, jet ski riding, and fresh conch for lunch!  We chose to avoid the ship excursions in Nassau and opted to take a taki to a local restaurant “Two Brothers” under the dock.  It was a litttle sketchy but they literally clean live conch right out the window of the restaurant and serve it directly to you.  We ate Conch Salad, Conch Fritters, and Crack Conch aka fried conch. So delicious!!!

I had a great time even though I’m not a huge cruise fan but we had fun and Coco Cay (an island owned by Royal Caribbean) was really nice.  There were plenty of chairs so it didn’t feel crowded and multiple beaches to swim and snorkel.  The water couldn’t be any more clear makes me a little jealous that I won’t be able to dive this summer!

Week 16 & 17

The little one isn’t even here yet and I’m somehow 3 weeks behind on Prego blog updates so heres 16 & 17.. 18 is still a work in progress!!! I promise to be better about these for the sake of documenting this fun time.  I want to remember how I’m enjoying pregnancy now so when I’m +30lbs and its 102 outside I know it wasn’t always like that and won’t be forever.  I keep being reminded how “great” 9 months pregnant in August is going to be…

Order #182129237 - Week 16

Week 16 was Bryan’s 31st Birthday!!  We didn’t do anything too crazy but did get to see Blue Man Group with my parents.  It was  a good time and I was sorta confused the entire show because I kept expecting the drumming and paint  splatter more than just funny interaction with the audience.  Overall, it was  a good time and I’m glad we went because those last minute nights out won’t be as easy once the little one is here!

Week 17

Sunday, March 15, 2015 marked our 1 year Anniversary.  If you had told me on our wedding day we would be 4 months pregnant on our 1st anniversary I probably would have laughed but here we are soo lucky to have a little one on the way so quickly.

A little reminiscing…

Week 17 was soo much fun! We planned to find our Baby Eubanks gender around our Anniversary and hosted a “Lashes or ‘Staches” Gender Reveal Party.  We were so lucky to have our family and best friends around supporting us and sharing in the excitement! Because I’m a planner and just can’t handle not being “in the know” Bryan and I found out the gender at our appointment on Friday and had to keep it a secret until lunch Sunday.  This was especially hard because I had a friends Baby Shower to attend on Saturday and that night another friend came into town to celebrate with us.

Drumroll please…. It’s a Boy!!!

To share & surprise everyone at the reveal if Baby Eubanks would be a boy or girl Bryan planned a baby boom explosion, video that can be seen on youtube!!  https://youtu.be/GJHaWrwU2Yc

Week 14 & 15

Well, its the end of week 15 and I’ve given in to my maternity jeans… packing away the skinnies until next winter when I’m determined I will wear them then!

We have reached the 2nd Trimester and my sleep schedule is about back to normal. Not quite as many nights asleep by 8:30 🙂

We found out last night that Baby Poole, due 3 days before us is a Boy:Parker Lewis Poole!  It was great to celebrate and in 2 more weeks we will know boy or girl and we couldn’t be more excited. Now just have to work on a name!!

We have been working to complete a kitchen renovation, Bryan more so than myself and that has pretty much taken over our afternoons and weekends. Here are a few pictures Ive taken along the way.  Hoping for a finished product very soon. We take for granted having a working kitchen until you don’t have a sink or cabinets or countertops!
